WhatsOSINT

WhatsOSINT is the most-starred community tool built on the WhatsApp Data API. It is a Python command-line investigator that takes a phone number and returns everything the API exposes about the associated WhatsApp account: whether the number is registered, the public display name (pushname), the about/status text, the business flag, and the profile picture URL.

It supports both the live RapidAPI host and the cached lookup path, and can fall back to the native checkleaked.cc proxy. That dual path lets it answer instantly from cache for numbers that were seen before, and hit the live endpoint only when fresh data is needed.

Because it wraps the exact same JSON the API returns, WhatsOSINT is a good reference for how a real integration parses the response — the field names below map one-to-one onto the API contract.
