WhatsApp Status Checker
Four different things get called "status" on WhatsApp, and only two of them can be read from a phone number. Here is which two, and what the other two actually require.

The same word is used for four unrelated things, which is why "status checker" results disappoint so often. Two of them a phone number lookup answers; two of them nothing outside the app can.

What the check does return
- Whether the number has an active WhatsApp account — read live, from the number alone, without saving it as a contact.
- The public About text — the short permanent line on the profile. The bio viewer covers that field on its own.
- The publicly visible profile picture, in the full resolution WhatsApp exposes; you can download the DP once it loads.
- Whether it is a business account, and the business category it declares.
The check is silent: it sends no chat message to the number, and it reports no online status and no read receipts. A free account covers 20 lookups a day, and past matches stay browsable in the number database.
How to check a WhatsApp status by number
- Enter the phone number — Type the number with its country code into the checker on the home page.
- Run the check — The account's public profile is read live from WhatsApp, with no message sent to the number.
- Read the result — Active account, public About text, profile picture and business account appear together; Stories and online presence are not part of it.
Why no tool shows Status updates or who is online
Status updates — the photos and videos that disappear after 24 hours — are delivered to the viewers the poster allowed, inside the app, on a device signed in to an account. They are not part of a public profile, so there is nothing for a lookup to read. A site offering to view them is either showing you something else or asking for your own WhatsApp session, which puts the account itself at risk and still shows no more than the app would.
Online and "last seen" work the same way: WhatsApp publishes presence inside a chat, to people the user's privacy setting allows, and never to an outside query. That is deliberate on our side too — a validation call that announced itself would be useless for signup checks, which is why the number validator is specified as silent.
